Biography :

Dr. Burton M. Altura is currently working as a Professor of Physiology, Pharmacology & Medicine State University of New York Downstate Medical Center. He completed his Ph.D. from Newyork University School of Medicine. He published many articles. Dr. Burton M. Altura studies address the two most important issues in vascular biology today: stroke mechanisms; and irreversible cellular destruction in the cardiovascular system caused by alcohol and substance abuse. These studies have already led to the prevention of atherosclerotic lesions, hypertension and stroke-like events in experimental animal models.

Dr. Magdalena Iorga is an Associate Professor at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Grigore T. Popa”, Iasi, România, and Head of the Behavioral Sciences Department. And Ph.D., a clinical psychologist at University Hospital for Children “Saint Mary” Iasi, România. She is an author of 5 books and more than 120 scientific articles.

Biography :

Kate studied Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham, UK, graduating in 1994, and completed her pre-registration training at King's College Hospital, London, joining the register as a pharmacist in 1995. She gained a Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacy Practice in 1999 and worked in a number of clinical specialities over her 20 years as an NHS hospital pharmacist. Having developed a particular interest in teaching and training, Kate was a pre-registration pharmacist tutor and postgraduate diploma tutor for eight years. In 2005, she joined the University of Reading School of Pharmacy as its first Teacher Practitioner and was instrumental in developing the first MPharm programme at the School. Moving into academia full time in 2015, Kate became a Lecturer in Pharmacy, and relocated to Malaysia to join the Pharmacy team at UoRM, where she is now Head of Pharmacy. Kate became a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2017 and in the same year completed a Master’s in Education with the Open University (UK). She also was awarded a University of Reading Teaching Fellowship, a prestigious award conferred on an individual who has demonstrated individual excellence and contributed to the development of teaching and learning within the University.

Biography :

Hwaida Elsadig is a research pharmacist from Sudan but worked in the UK for a number of years. She has finished a study with the University of Bath about the use of guidelines in prescribing in Sudan and used cardiology as an example of a clinical discipline with a large number of guidelines. Hwaida Elsadig’s interests are in prescribing based on evidence but at the same time considering the type of healthcare systems and different patient-related factors. She worked as a medicine information pharmacist for a number of years.

Dr. Emmanuel K Margao, works at the Pharmacy Board of Sierra Leone, Ministry of Health and Sanitation and also a part-time Lecturer in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy. His Qualification is- B. Pharm(Hons), Masters(Clinical Pharmacy and Therapeutics), MPCPharm( Member of the West African postgraduate college of Pharmacy) He has also worked in a Pharmaceutical company as a medical representative.

Biography :

Dr. Mirza R. Baig is currently working as a Professor in Clinical Pharmacy in Dubai Pharmacy College. He did his PhD in Clinical Pharmacy from University Science Malaysia (USM), Malaysia. He worked in Malaysia, India and have international teaching and research experience of about 17+ years. He also worked as an Acting Dean in AIMST University, Malaysia. He published 4 books related to Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Care. He published about 52 Research papers and articles in International Journals. He has been invited as a chairperson, speaker and moderator in many International conferences and seminars. He is in the editorial board in various international journals, including reviewer for couple of Elsevier journals. He supervised numerous master and PhD students for their research projects. He also reviewed several Master and PhD thesis for Indian and foreign universities as an external examiner. He received many awards in his career, few of it as, Best Professor in Pharmacy, 2018 Middle East Education leadership Awards, Best oral presentation in DUPHAT Dubai 2017, Best Quality Poster in 2016 in DUPHAT Dubai, an outstanding scientist by a research foundation in India 2016, Best oral presentation in Dubai 2015 & 2014, young scientist award in Malaysia in 2013, Best presentation award in IPC 2003, in India. His area of research is Pharmacoepidemiology, Drug safety and efficacy, Drug Utilization Studies, Pharamcovigilance, and Public health.

Responsibility

Delegates are personally responsible for their belongings at the venue. The Organizers will not be held responsible for any stolen or missing items belonging to Delegates, Speakers or Attendees; due to any reason whatsoever.

Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind.

Transportation

Please notes that any (or) all transportation and parking is the responsibility of the registrant.

Press/Media

Press permission must be obtained from Allied Academies Organizing Committee prior to the event. The press will not quote speakers or delegates unless they have obtained their approval in writing. The Allied academies are a non-profit organization. This conference is not associated with any commercial meeting company.

Requesting an Invitation Letter:

For security purposes, letter of invitation will be sent only to those individuals who had registered for the conference. Once your registration is complete, please contact finance@alliedacademies.com to request a personalized letter of invitation.

Regarding refunds, all bank charges will be for the registrant's account.

Cancellation, Postponement, and Transfer of Registration

All cancellations or modifications of registration must be made in writing to Program Manager (finance@alliedacademies.com).

Cancellation Policy

If Allied academies cancel this event for any reason, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid. You may use this credit for another Allied Academies Conferences (AAC) event which must occur within one year from the date of cancellation.

Postponement

If Allied academies postpone an event for any reason and you are unable or unwilling to attend on rescheduled dates, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid. You may use this credit for another Allied Academies Conferences event which must occur within one year from the date of postponement.

Transfer of Registration

All fully paid registrations are transferable to other persons from the same organization if registered person is unable to attend the event. Transfers must be made by the registered person in writing to Program ManagerDetails must be included with the full name of replacement person, their title, contact phone number, and email address. All other registration details will be assigned to the new person unless otherwise specified.

Registration can be transferred to one conference to another conference of Allied academies if the person is unable to attend one of the conferences.

However, Registration cannot be transferred if it is intimated within 14 days of the respective conference.

The transferred registrations will not be eligible for Refund.

Visa Information

Keeping in view of increased security measures, we would like to request all the participants to apply for Visa as soon as possible.

Allied Academies will not directly contact embassies and consulates on behalf of visa applicants. All delegates or invitees should apply for Business Visa only.

Important note for failed visa applications: Visa issues cannot come under the consideration of cancellation policy of Allied Academies, including the inability to obtain a visa.

Refund Policy:

If the registrant is unable to attend, and is not in a position to transfer his/her participation to another person or event, then the following refund arrangements apply:

Keeping in view of advance payments towards Venue, Printing, Shipping, Hotels and other overheads, we had to keep Refund Policy is as following slabs-

  • Before 60 days of the conference: Eligible for Full Refund less $100 Service Fee
  • Within 60-30 days of Conference: Eligible for 50% of payment Refund
  • Within 30 days of Conference: Not eligible for Refund
  • E-Poster Payments will not be refunded.

Accommodation Cancellation Policy

Accommodation Providers (Hotels) have their own cancellation policies, and they generally apply when cancellations are made less than 30 days prior to arrival. Please contact us as soon as possible, if you wish to cancel or amend your accommodation. Allied Academies will advise the cancellation policy of your accommodation provider, prior to cancelling or amending your booking, to ensure you are fully aware of any non-refundable deposits.
